Paint manufactures such as Nippon does not make all the different colours of paints in fact, they a few selected colours, and the paint shops mix different paints to get the paints colour needed.
A seller, Mark, mixed wrong paints of bucket together..
" What a mess! " He thought.
" I have to pay to pay for this, and they are not cheap! "
Then he remembered what he learn in secondary school Chemistry.
" Paints are just dyes, I can use paper chromatography to separate them! Then, i don't have to pay for the waste paint! "
Is chromatography a feasible method to separate the bucket of mixed paint? What are the advantages and disadvantages of chromatography? Lastly, look around the internet and see the different type of chromatography there are.

Yes, chromatography is a feasible method of separating dyes. The advantages are that Mr Mark can save money so that he do not need to buy the paints again.

This is useful if one is trying to separate and purify a reaction mixture preparing an intermediate in a sequence of reactions. The disadvantage is the column may take a long time to properly prepare and use. The different types of chromatography are : gas chromatography , liquid chromatography , ion exchange chromatography and affinity chromatography .

Yes. I agree that chromatography can separate the mixture of paint and Mr Mark have an advantage to save his money from buying another paint. Beside that, he too have a disadvantage, that is the column may take a longer period of time to prepare it.

Yes. Chromatography can be use to separate the mixture of paint.The advantages is that he can save his money . Disadvantages is tha he need to wait for a longer time to obtain the colours of paint that he satisfied.
